Monster ride today, I whined all the way – all 104km’s
With only a few weeks to go before the JoBerg2c, we have to clock the last few big rides. Today seemed to go on forever. Within 5 minutes from starting, we wanted to can the whole thing. When I wanted to stop, Mike said ‘let’s press on’. When Mike wanted to stop I agreed but then he changed his mind. I fell in the mud at 85km’s and declared the ride over on account of feeling like a sewer rat. Mike responded by taking photo’s. Right now it is all mental … it is also not about the bike, it is about the ass (and nutrition). Today was our longest training ride – a fraction over 7 hours. If you know Johannesburg, the pictures tell a story.
